As traditional-styled high end European ranges become more popular in America, a problem facing kitchen designers is that its nearly impossible to find a hood that matches these ranges; whether in style, color, or decor. As specialists in custom metal work, we took on this challenge for a client looking for a range hood for her La Cornue CornuFé range.
In a burst of rich Burgundy, the Cézanne frame style finds a true companion in luxury for its curves. With Hammered pattern and Egg and Dart treatment, this hood is gently touched with a Coppers finish to highlight the best elements of both shape and style.
This hood was done somewhat whimsically, but with a serious undertone. Showing our appreciation for the neo-dadaist revolution in modern art, Chris took this famous painting by Jasper Johns and recreated it on the front panel of a Botticelli range hood over a hammered steel pattern.
