Quick Mention: Design New Jersey

CLP Design was recently featured in the August/September issue of Design NJ magazine for some work we did as part of the 2008 Cape May Designer Show House. Designer Jan Schmidt’s plan was to turn an empty third floor space into a study… and the outcome was stunning.

The article outlines the before and after of the product… going from an empty upstairs space with white walls and minimal room to a beautiful Crafstman style study. Our contribution? A low wall finished in hand-painted black, gold and red tin.

In addition to the tin-finished wall, we also contributed a range hood in the kitchen which was not part of the article.

“Ups and Downs; High Life Below Ground” was the title of the article, and the complete version will be available to view online at www.designnewjersey.com.

For more on this project, see Jan Schmidt’s website at Dragonfly Interiors or the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts’s before/after photos of the house.

A little bit of press…

Its always great to see some of our favorite clients get recognized for their designs, especially when it includes projects we’ve had a hand or two in. Jay and Connie Lowe’s house is profiled in this month’s Lancaster magazine, as a preview of the Pennsylvania Academy of Music’s upcoming home tour event. The house itself is stunning to see, but some of Allan Holm’s photography is just breathtaking:

Chris was recently interviewed by the York Daily Record (YDR) for a featured series called “Unzipping York”. The purpose of the monthly series is to uncover a diamond in the rough or an untold story from each of the county’s 57 postal zip codes. We were this month’s diamond in the rough for the postal zip code 17329. The full story can be found here. A big thank you to YDR for featuring our work and to Jennifer for her enthusiasm and patience.
