Regaining their popularity from the early 1900’s when they were commonly used as surface coverings both in residential and commercial kitchens, zinc, pewter and bronze have proven themselves not only practical choices due to their natural non-porous and antibacterial qualities, but are also a unique way to blur the lines between fine art and interior design in any home.

Our specialty, which is unique in the industry, is slip-cast metal countertops. Slip-casting soft metals creates the slightly pitted textures that are prized in simpler casting methods, but offers much greater flexibility in design. As the photos here show, we can produce our counters with nearly any imaginable edge detail.

In addition, zinc, pewter and bronze offer a handful of unique characteristics. If polished regularly, each can maintain its own original luster and shine, but also because all three are living metals, if left unpolished and allowed to naturally oxidize, they will develop a unique patina over time that adds a certain charm to any environment. We ship our countertops with a pre-treated and stabilized patina, which helps the surface age evenly and gracefully.
